Hello Hellooooo.....this is a rather late blog posting as I bought this range of Kose skincare products back in a while ago. But I decided to do my review also by writing more in details about the skincare products in my blog besides just talking about them in my youtube video.:)
WHAT'S THE SECRET OF SEKKISEI?
As you can see from their chinese name characters (雪肌精), SEKKISEI means the wish for bright and translucent skin as pure as snow. They use the unique blend of Japanese and Chinese herbal extracts in the formulations in this range of skincare products to prevent common skin disorders, such as dullness, blotches and freckles and lead to beautiful, "snow-bright" translucent skin.

First of all, the famous Kose Sekkisei Lotion, as you see from the packaging description, it is a moisturizing lotion that tones your skin to provide luminosity with a refreshing sensation and also refines your skin texture and protects your skin from dryness for a smooth, supple complexion. I do feel the refreshing and cooling sensation after applying it, but one thing I don't really like about the product is the scent or smell. I am not sure about whether it is their strong fragrance or alcohol smell as I will cough a bit after applying the lotion into my face. I am kinda sensitive to the smell. And also in their ingredients, they have all these kind of preservative parapen which is not a favorite of mine. Other than that, my face does feel clean, fresh and moisturized after applying it. So, this Seikkisei lotion has this watery and texture and my face wouldn't not feel sticky at all after applying it. It is best used in the hot summer weather here in Malaysia.

This is a rather small sample size of Sekkisei Emulsion. I applied this after the Sekkisei Lotion as a moisturizer. The texture of this emulsion is rather more concentrated comparing to the Sekkisei Lotion. So, I just applied very little and it can actually covered all over my face. The smell is the same as the lotion. I guess Sekkisei has their own standard kinda of fragrance scent in this range of skincare products. Not sure about others as I haven't tried all of them yet. As I read from their Kose products brochure description, the origin of the fragrance is a modern floral fragrance with rose and jasmine as a top note which contains chamomile roman oil that has relaxing and healing benefits. It says the Sekkisei fragrance is a fresh scent that calms and soothes the mind. BUT, I just don't understand why, as it claims that it has relaxing and healing benefits, why I can't just stand the scent at all? Oh well...maybe is my personal problem, my nose is a sensitive department in my entire whole body as I was born in the year of dog in the chinese calendar. ;p
